Any tips on what speakers should go on top or bottom in a mixed 4x12?  Buying 2 retro 30's to go in my stereo 4x12 along with my Celestion 75's.  I figured the 75's would go in the bottom since they're more of a scooped and bass heavy speaker but was curious if there was any guide on how to select which speakers go where.  Thought the speakers with more mids or highs would be best on top but what do I know.  If I did, I wouldn't be here trying to get Vaughn to put down his speaker demo camera and sober up to answer all our posts;)

There are two "typical" configurations

1. The bassheavier speakers in the bottom

2. As an X pattern.

Please correct me if im wrong..

Yep, I see it just like Alex.

I like the two over two config for the simple idea that it's easier to remember which speaker is where for mic placement.  The x-pattern always has me scratching my head when trying to remember which speaker is where on a live show.
