Just received 2 of your Green Beret 16 ohm Speakers. I am going to put them in a 1987 Marshall JCM-800 1960-B Cab. I will be taking 2 of the Celestion 75's out & put the Green Berets In their place. Wondering If an "X" Pattern, or put the 2 G.B.'s In the top & the 75's in the Bottom? I'll probably change out the 75's later on, but right now just looking to get rid of some of the buzz. I am playing a 1984 Marshall 2204, & a 1989 Marshall 2205, & both amps sound Fantastic going through my JCM-800 1960-B Cab with the Original Celestion 65's, However the 75's are too Fuzzy. I play Classic Rock-N-Roll, UFO, Ted Nugent, ZZ-Top, ect....... Thanks for your Help. Bill
Play around a little & see what you like best. If you put the GB's on top, they will be a bit more of a dominate voice, in the x-pattern, they will blend in a bit more.
I'd put them on top, personally :-)
I put the Green Berets on top, & the cab sounds much better. However the other 2 Celestion 75's must go & 2 more Green Berets must be in their spot to get the true tone I'm after. That will be happening soon. Thank You For the Info Vaughn, much apprieciated. Bill
