Hi guys,

My name is Gabriel and I´m from Uruguay, Southamerica. I´m decided to get two speakers from you to complement my Orange AD30htc head. As you may know, it´s a 30W head, and I´m using it in a closed 2x12. It´s sound is kinda smooth and sometimes a little dark. I play all kinds of rock, most of all kind of heavy.

I´ve read literally all the forums about your speakers and think I have my own idea about the speaker combination that could work for me. I´d like to know your opinion about it, based on the specifications of my amp. Can you help me?

Other subject: I would need to get the speakers sent separately via express mail (custom duty bullshit from my country...), and maybe not the same day!

Is that possible? How much would it cost?

I´m hoping for your answer, can´t stand the 70/80 in my cab any longer!

Thx!

I just bought the AD30HTC head and put it through it's paces tonight.  I love this amp over any Marshall - it's the real deal with the crunchy breakup and mild overdrive.  Due to limited funding,  I didn't get the Orange open back 2x12 cab at the same time, but ran it through a Fender closed  back cab with a Retro 30 and it sounded fantastic.  However, I  took the plunge and  placed an order through my local Guiitar Center yesterday to get the cab (it  comes with Celestion Vintage 30s) where I plan to replace one of the V30's with an ET65 that I already own.  That should be a great sound - mids from the V30 and the low and high end from the ET65.

In your case, you may want to look at the combo of the Veteran 30 and ET65.  I don't think you'd be disappointed, although I bet Vaughn would recommend the Green Berets for that vintage British crunch.

Hey, thanx for your input! ET65 is clearly an option, but I´m thinking of maybe mixing it with an Invader, to get that nice crunch with more wattage. Not big on V30 myself.

Anyway, hope that someone at Wgs reads this, because I really need reach them. Sending speakers to  Uruguay is not as simple as it looks.

Rock on!

Since you say: "It´s sound is kinda smooth and sometimes a little dark" . . . I might not go ET65 since they are also very smooth and a bit dark!

Yes ... as mentioned ... if it were me I'd probably go with 2 Green Berets.  However, the Invaders sound VERY similar, and would make the cab high enough in wattage to handle any other amp you might want to use it with ... so that's a good option, too!

Thx for the feedback guys!

I think I´m gonna go with 2 invaders...
