Hey all!

I bought a broken B-52 212 combo for a song ($50) heck of a deal since even if I couldn't get it working parting out the tubes alone would cover the cost Anyway, I managed to get the amp working just fine (tested using external speaker cab), but the internal speakers are shot.

The Amp is 100W so I'm looking for two 50W speakers or something close. I doubt I'll push the speakers anywhere near max volume, but if I ever sell it I want to be sure it can handle the 100 watts.

My music tastes:

1. Nice cleans (Think Gilmour; Comfortably Numb solo)

2. The 90's chorus sound (Think Nirvana; In Bloom, Polly, etc.)

3. Older metal (Think Black Sabbath; Iron man)

4. Other 90's - 00's pop/rock/alternative/indy (Oasis, Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, Dishwalla, etc)

As for budget ... if you could list your favorite, or best, high end pair and also a pair of less expensive choices that would be awesome.  Not sure which I can talk the wife into yet ;)

Thanks everyone for taking the time!

Well, since no replies I guess there are no Warehouse speakers that will work for me.  Either that or no one here is interested in helping customers choose speakers. Perhaps too busy. Neither is a good way to run a railroad.

Anyway, others have show interest and by their advice I'm looking at a EVM-12L with a Fane Medusa 150-C. Or some Reeves Purples; still deciding.

I wish you continued success,

48 hours is an awfully long time to wait ...

When you're OCD staring at an amp with no speakers 48 hrs can seem like an eternity :)

Anyway I still haven't made a decision if you have a suggestion...

Thanks

My #1 choice: a pair of ET90's ... unless you want to tame the overall volume of the amp just a tiny bit ... then go for ET65's!
