Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on a topic I am struggling with a little.

I am a MASSIVE fan of the Vintage30 & G12K-100 X formation 412, but the price is making achieving that setup rathe difficult.

Then, thanks to some forums, I discovered WGS, watched some Youtube videos, and instantly thought that I could get my dream setup.

Following a bit of research, I am guessing that Retro30 and British Lead 80 / Reaper HP are the way to go for my tone goal.

I play a 6505, EMGs and in Drop C. I Play lots of Caliban, Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage type metal with a brutal and heavy bottom end, but still flawless clarity for cleans. I guess my question is, What is the recomenation for super high gain, very articulate, very deep/dark, clear sound?

Thanks an awful lot for your time, in advance,

Matt

Hi Matt.  "What speakers to put in my 4x12" is probably the most posted (and answered) question on this forum.  Do a search (using the "search WGS") button on the upper left of every page, and you should find your answer in spades.  If not, post back!

I had a look about and couldnt quite nail what I wanted on the head, and considering it would be $245 to get a pair or Ret30 to me (in the UK, and I am young and tight for cash) I suppose that to humbly ask for your direct suggestion would be best. Thankyou for your time, it means a lot to me!

I'd suggest HM75's & Retro 30'd for you ... especially given the extreme low tuning ... the HM75's eat that up!
