So, I have a Laney AOR pro-tube 50 head and want to upgrade my speakers in my 4x12 Peavey cab which is currently loaded with 1290 Sheffields. The AOR is a killer sounding amp, but very noisy. The bass response is also very loud so my preference would be to get speakers to help control the bass. Also, it's worth noting that I have upgraded all the tubes to JJ's and I am upgrading the OT transformer and the choke to Mercury Magnetic brand transformers which supposedly will help eliminate a lot of the noise. Any suggestions on replacement speakers.  The speakers are 8 hole...I want a British tone but again can't getting anything to bassy sounding

Sounds like 4 Green Berets to me!
