I have a used marshall mg30fx that was shipped with an 8' speaker rather than the 10' it should have come with. The stock speaker sounds pretty sterile, so I've been running a Weber Chicago 12' in it lately. I'd like an actual 10' speaker so I could mount it appropriately in the amp. The marshall is very bright sounding so I've been looking at the g10C/S to tame the brightness as advertised.
Anyone here using the g10c/s to tame a bright amp? Do you notice if the speaker responses quickly to picking dynamics or does it have a little "sag" to it? The weber chicago I'm running now tames the brightness of the amp well, but it feels like it has a bit of "sag" when compared to a vintage 30.
Any other speaker recommendations for my little practice amp are welcome as well. thx.
