I know the usual speakers with good reputations such as pre Rola Celestions and vintage Jensens. I've heard the EV SRO's, early JBL's, Altec 417's are good.
What other old speakers are well regarded and worth buying?
I think Vaughn was quite fond a Fane speaker for a while. Often there are great items on eBay, however the trick is knowing what a good buy is.
Any thoughts?

Let's not forget the speaker originally produced in Paducah ... CTS! The CTS Alnico 10's produced in late 60's - mid 70's are, in my opinion, the best sounding low-wattage tens ever. The prices those little things are fetching would prove my point!
Oh, and actually, the little 1967 oxford 12 featured in my Deluxe Reverb blog is beyond beautiful :-) ... although, to be fair, I've also heard a lot of awful Oxfords.
Thanks Vaugn, I'm surprised others haven't commented. The Celestion 65's (and probably the WGS ET65 speakers though I personally haven't heard them) sound great with Dumble non HRM amps.
When all is said n done ... The ET65 is probably my favorite WGS model ...
