Current setup is pair of Vet30s in a custom built oversized 2x12. I love the smoothness and presence of the Vet30s but still miss something in the sound. What are my choices for ”filling in” or complementing the slight scoop that seems to be present in the Vet30? Idea is to switch one of the Vets.

I suppose a Retro 30 will provide a boost in the high(ish) mids? Have also contemplated the ET65. I guess this would give more mid content but I am not sure if the bottom end becomes too much as I’ve heard it’s a somewhat wooley speaker. Would a green beret do the job?

Running a Mesa triple crown 50. I want a gut wrenching yet smooth gain. It’s in the low mids I guess.

Assuming the TC-50 doesn't have GNFB on the low end, as with the Rectifier series, I'd go with the Retro 30. It actually has a rather flat response, which will reduce the mid-scoop, as well as add a little high-end without adding 3-3.5kHz harshness.
