Looking to replace the stock 6.5" 8ohm spkr in my Vox DA5 practice amp. Not seeking any particular sound, just a very good sound overall. Any/all input welcome. Thanks
Man ... WGS does not make a 6.5", and I haven't really found anything that sounds all that good ... except vintage models that are difficult to find in healthy condition! Sorry. Maybe someone else will chime in here ??
Thanks for your response, Vaughn. I use this only for home practice, at very low sound levels. I've rigged up a 1/4" normalized jack so I can plug in an external cab and defeat the internal spkr. Currently using a wide body 1x12 Boogie cab with an Alessandro GA-SC64 in it. So if I want a little more sound, I switch over to the full 5 watts instead of the 1/2 watt. This amp has always impressed me with very good tone even though it is a very inexpensive amp. I like to practice with low volume while getting the best tone I can get at that volume.
