I need to load a Stage Hog cabinet with speakers. This is a 212 vertical divided cabinet, like two 112 cabinets in one. Top is open with an oval cutout in back. Bottom is ported, but I can block the port for an enclosed bottom. 3/4" solid pine fingerjoint construction.
Amp is an ODS Dumble inspired from a kit-handwired tube 2 channel, one clean the other overdriven. Max 33 watts but I want min 50 watts capability in the speaker cabinet, not a problem with the WGS available.
I am thinking something like an Invader/Reaper combo but am definitely open to suggestions, both in speaker selection as well as position.
This amp/cabinet is ultimately for my teenage son, who plays well but is still finding his style as expected at this age. With this in mind versatility is my goal. Nice and clean to metal thump. I understand it will be a compromise for now but please give me your thoughts.
