Hello, first post here! I have an H&K Puretone amp which I love (feels stellar to play) but I feel like the stock V30 is really holding it back. There's a flatness to the mids that makes me a little crazy and I think with the right speaker in there it would just bloom like crazy.

I'm trying to find a single 12 (that can handle over 40w of power at 8ohms or over 25 watts at 16ohms) that is more open, less of that flat midrange and more in that slightly scooped lower mids/stratty territory without sacrificing the singing high midrange. I think Matchless and Trainwreck type amps do this really well, I found this video which is a really good example of what I'm trying to chase. It is a different amp, but it's loaded with WGS and I think the Puretone is capable of these sounds.

Been looking at the ET-65 and the Blackhawk but truthfully I have no idea. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!
