I had my Blackhawk in a Seismic Audio vintage cab (W/H/D 24" x 21" x 11"). That combination was just way too boomy and difficult to control the bass and mids even with my Boss EQ-200. However, my newly purchased G12C sounds great in this cab. I use a VHT Special 6 head or a Quilter 101 Mini head most of the time.

What size cabinet do you think would be best suited for the Blackhawk. I would be using my Vox Night Train 15 (NT15HG2) head with this combination and plan on looking for a smaller cab as I expect the Seismic Audio cab was just far too big for the Blackhawk. I was thinking something along the size of a Fender Champ Extension Cab or slightly larger. I'm totally open to suggestions in this regard.

Man, in that combination ... I'd suggest an open (or mostly open) back cab, about 26x17x9.5 ... ie: Deluxe Reverb(ish) size!
