I'm in the process of building a Marshall 18 watt clone amp head (12AX7, EL84, EZ81) along with a 2x12 extension cabinet. I plan on mostly clean tones and slight blues crunch. I'm interested in warmer tones and not overly bright. I've narrowed the speakers down to the ET-90 and Retro 30 based on sound demos by Vaughn Skow. Anyone have any opinions on these two speakers together - either yay or nay?
