Looking for 10 inch speakers. Thinking about the smooth cone or the ribbed, or maybe one of each. What would the pros or cons be?

Also have a Marshall Club & Country 2x12 (Marshall's 100 watt answer to the twin). Looking for two more speakers, or one that might pair with a Texas Heat (150 watt speaker)

Any thoughts would be great!

Thanks, Tim B

Wow, a 2-10 Concert ... a new one to me!  I'm thinking we're talking Rivera-era, right?  I currently have a 4x10 and a 1x12 Rivera Concert, so I know the amps well.  I don't think of the amps as particularly bright ... or dark ... so I'd say just stick with the ribbed cone G10C's.

In the Club & Country, I'd definitely go with G12 smooth cones ... Alnico if you can afford it.  One G12C/S should also pair well with the Tx Heat.

Oh, and please come back & tell us what you chose & how it worked out!

I just installed the ribbed G10C's! I finally know what people mean by the shimmering/glassy highs. Nice big bottom. They sound great! (and yes my amp tech said it was a Rivera-era)

Construction was like night and day compared to the Fender speakers I took out. I am more than pleased with my purchase.

I guess I have to get the G12C/S for my Marshall. I didn't mention earlier, but I have a 40 watt  Blues Deluxe. Thinking about an Alnico for it. Any other suggestions, or you think the G12?

Thanks again, Tim B.
