I plan to build a 1x12 cab to use with my open back combo amp.  What is the best way to fasten the speaker to the baffle?  I was thinking of using T-Nuts.  Is there a better option?  Thanks.

If it's a cab that you will not be swapping speakers in much, and it's made of quality birch ply - then just press the "easy" button and go with big pan-head wood screws.  Other options: the threaded insert (my fav), or studs mounted through the baffle (ala vintage Fenders).  Oh, and if your REALLY a glutton for punishment, check out the Burriss DC cab and try to roll one of those mounting systems yourself (good luck...).

Oh, but seriously, good luck!

If you use T-nuts, put a drop of blue Loctite (242) on the screws. You'll thank me later!
