Hi, I'm building an AX84 P1 Extreme Combo with an El34 tube. I'm making it a 1x12 combo. What speaker do you think would be the best for this amp?

Thanks a lot in advance

I've thought about building one of those myself, switchable to do on-the-fly tube swaps from 6l6/6v6/El34.  How hot will you be running the 34, and what tone/style are you going for?  The easy answer, for a great all-around tone is a Reaper in a fairly large open-back cab.  The new Invader is very cool if you want to go in a more deciseavely Britt direction (kind of GB, but not quite), and a Retro 30 is also a no-loose option.  Last, the ET65 if you want it to sound very warm and vintage, in the shootouts I did on my blog with my '65 Bassman, the ET65 was practically indistinguishable from my vintage Alnico Fane I have in that amp (search the blog).  I know, a lot of options ... sorry...

Thanks Vaughn! As you say, too many options, but that is not necessarily bad. The style I'm going for is undefined. I like to play blues, hard rock, metal, whatever. So I guess that given your recomendation, the Reaper would be a good and versatile option. I'll probably use this one. Thanks again
