I'm considering replacing the stock Eminence Red, White and Blues on a Carr Mercury with a WGS Reaper, 30 watts, and I'm curios if this the right choice for that particular amp.

The primary reason for this is determine is the stock speaker is blown, and the secondary well, well tone tweaking on the cheap.  If it turns out to be not the speaker, the at least I will have improved the tone considerably based on sample sounds on this web site, and Youtube.

The other options include: 1) Reaper, 55Hz, 30 watts; 2) Black & Blue Alnico, 15 watts.  Althoug I have concerns about the the Back & Blue fitting inside the Mercury.

Any opinions, suggestions very much appreciated.

Hard to imagine the little 7-10 watt Mercury blowing a speaker ... but ...

Yes, the Reaper (not HP, not 55) would be an excellent upgrade in that amp :-)
