Okay, here's a question yet to be asked. I'm looking for a speaker recommendation for a 4x12 closed back cab that I'm running an Ampeg VL-502 head through. Hard Rock/Metal are the primary type of music played through this combination. The VL series is not known for their bottom end, but saturation is phenominal IMHO. So, I'm looking for something that will help add to the bottom end as much as possible while still retaining the mid and upper range tones without sounding muddy.

Not familiar with the amp ... but here is a 2x12 combination that I just but together that gave me the EXACT results you are looking for: Reaper/Liberator. Enormous (!!) tight bottom end, but still nice and articulate.
