Hi, I know that the subject has been covered al lot of times BUT I recently got out of the vault my old Marshall 1960B cabinet, took off the G12 75 and installed 2 Vet30 and 2 ET65 in it in an X pattern. Now, I have read a massive amount of information on the web on the different type of wiring methods and I have found these documents:http://soundcitysite.com/series_parallel_x.pdfhttp://soundcitysite.com/parallel_series_x.pdfInitially I have wired the cabinet using this wiring diagram: http://hiwatt.org/Layouts/CabWiring.jpgThe sound was good, tight and aggresisve using my Custom Audio PT100 amplifier. I then tried out the x pattern parallel-series wiring from the Soundcity site. Something changed, actually now the sound is more balanced and with less treble and lows emphasis with the midrange standing out. Good or bad I don't know, it's just a matter of personal tastes.I have read that the first wiring schematic enhances the peculiarities of the et65 and vet 30, while the second blends both sounds together and gives more of a balanced sound. You suggest to mix speakers in order to enhance the sound and to cover the peculiarities of each model, what wiring method do you suggest? Cheers from Italy Fred
