I just aquired a WGS G10C and have a 4x10 cabinet with Celestion g10l-35's in it. I have been doing research about speakers and cabinets and decided to build two 2x10 cabinets made out of pine and install the new G10C with one of the celestions. I put a divider / shelf middle way of the cab so I can use the bottom part for a sealed enclosure and the top will be used parially open back with the ability to be sealed completely as well. My question then is since the celestion is rated 35 watts and the G10C is 75, is that to much difference between them to use them both in the same cab? I really like the celestions however if there is another WGS that would compliment a setup like this , I want to know so I can get it ordered. I resally want to maximize my speaker set up to cover the frequency range needed for excellent tone. I will be driving the 2x10 with a Pearce G2R stereo amp and running TC Electronics gmajor for effects. I will be building 2- 2x12 to make use off the stereo amp and stereo effects.I'm a new member this is my first post, so hook me up with all the WGS MOJO!

Thanks

By the way, I play mostly rock material, every thiing from ZZ Top to Metallica and from worship tunes to blues. I love music and want to hear it through the best speakers I can find hear.

Answer:You should be fine.  Just remember that each speaker will be sharing half of the amps power ... so that cab will handle up to about 70 watts RMS.

If you really like it, then stick with it!  The combo sounds like it should be very cool!

And welcome to the WGS family!

i'm planning to pair an ET10 & G10C in a 2x10 open-front (bass reflex) cabinet, with a '68 fender dual showman head. (surf project) i just noticed that there's about a 4db SPL difference between these speakers. would that work/sound right? thanks...
