The above video is of a 76 pro reverb w/ Fane Alnico Blues. The tone is pretty rich and I really like the grit and depth that he is getting from those speakers. I realize that the $400 overdrive pedal is a huge part of the mix here - but Im already on the hunt for one of those. Just gotta get the right speakers. Ive tried Celestions Blues in my Maz 38 and they didnt last too long. Any advice would be great,

Wow, the Celestion Blues are only 15 watt speakers.

Go with Blackhawks, fur sure!  They compare VERY favorably to Fane vintage Alnico's.
