I have an older PV Special 112 SS amp with the stock 200W Scorpion Speaker. I play primarily country and boogie and use low volume settings. As is, I just don't play loud enough to push air with this speaker and it has poor bass response. PV assured me that I can run a 16 ohm speaker with this combo and was looking at the Vetern 30, Reaper HP or the ET65 as a replacement. I play single coils exclusively and would really like more bottom end. Thanks in advance.

Those Scorpion speakers were absolutely terrible sounding!  How on earth did Mr. Peavey ever think those stiff PA speakers would work in a guitar amp ???

Anyway, since you state:

"I play single coils exclusively and would really like more bottom end"

I'd suggest an ET65 ... our warmest speaker, and very vintage sounding ... your ss amp will almost have a little tube feelin mojo with it.

If ya think the ET will knock too much brightness off ... then go Reaper HP!

Hope this helps! Post back with your results!
