Hey! I snagged a Sunn Beta 202 cab and need to swap out the speakers. The Jet City can get pretty dark, think Sunn 200s, and I was looking for some speakers that are incredibly pedal friendly and will brighten up the sound and not break up easily. Since the head only does 20 watts, I was thinking mixing the ET65 and the Retro 30. The problem is the cab is ported with two 4" holes opposite either speaker. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I have! My amp is the one with the basket weave front. I've AB'ed the standard 20 watt and mine (the vintage one) and found mine to be way less harsh, as well as cleaner and darker. Thanks for confirming my thoughts on the Retro though!
