I am currently running my HT-5R combo as a large square head haha. I took out the lackluster Blackstar Blackbird and have been running it through my Vox 112NT cab that has a Celestion Greenback in it. I really love how that speaker sounds with the HT-5R but I am really drawn to the ET65.
So do I go with the combo I know I will like with Green Beret or do I go with the unknown and the ET65? What keeps drawing me back to the ET65 is the clean sound bit that is up. I really love how it sounds when the notes ring out.
Mostly use this amp for hard rock and Texas style blues but want to have a nice chimey, sparkley and most importantly interesting clean as well. I think of myself as primarily a Vox AC15 player.
Thanks
The ET65 would sound great ... but I think I'll recommend the ET90, cuz it will coax a little more out of the little Blackstar!
I didnt even consider the ET90. Just reading the description, it sounds like an exaggerated ET65? That doesnt sound like a bad thing haha.
Thanks.
After sleeping on it, I ordered a ET90 today. Review to come.
Thanks again for the help.
