Hi Vaughn,

I have a single speaker open back 60 watt Marshall combo and need advice on speaker selection.

I am playing Hard rock in drop C with 13-65 gauge.....Yikes! And really dont want to blow the thing up, i would like to keep as much mid range as possible and try to keep the low end from falling apart. 

My research shows that a Vet or Retro would be the tone I am after, but would a single speaker be powerful enough to handle that low pitch? Maybe the Retro more so than the Vet based upon power?

If not what would you recommend? Thanks for your help.
