I'm mulling over ideas for my next amp and I'm thinking I'd like to assemble it myself.  I've got the circuitry, fascia, & electronic components covered, but I could use a little bump with the finer points of cabinetry and speakers.  I've been thinking of putting together a...  well, make that two...  I'm thinking of putting together two speaker/cab configs.  One being a 30-watt combo, and the other a 100-watt head on a half stack.  I'm big on the old fender tweeds, so I'm thinking maybe a 4x10" birch cab in tweed, and for the 30-watter something like a 5E3 tweed deluxe clone, but with hot-rodded circuitry.  I'm searching for the elusive "Dumble tone".  The electronics should be close.  Or so I hope.  Any suggestions on speakers?  Also, I'm at a loss on baffling, should it be needed.  Any pointers would be appreciated.  Also, what is the turn-around time on speaker orders?  Thanks!

Historically, the dumble guys have LOVED the ET-65's ... and personally, I find I like the ET-90 better in about 90% of the cases.  So you can't go wrong with either of those.

"Baffling"??? You mean some kind of acoustic insulation?? Porting?? I'm Baffled :-)   ... I will say that I like thin (1/4-5/8") multi-ply baffles, just like Leo used pre-CBS!
