So I just wanted to share a good discovery.
I have Oldfield's version of a tweed deluxe which originally came with a Weber Alnico Blue Dog. On paper that sounded like a good combo but in actuality it gave the tone too much fizzy high end once it started to break up. I got the amp used and wasn't sure if the Weber needed more time to break in, but I had an ET65 kickin around and thought I would give it a try.
It sounds amazing! If your amp is too bright or needs to be smoother try this.
Thanks for taking the time to post this. We ALWAYS like feedback!
