Hello ,

i am looking for a new speaker . i own a VOXAC30CC1 . This amp is rated at 30watts and has one 12 inch speaker . The stock speaker is a Vox/Celestion Neodog speaker . I play with a Fender Am Deluxe Ash telecaster . I want to use this amp for playing Jazz , partly Blues and sometimes rock (60s , British like Rolling Stones , Beatles etc . ) To be honest I cannot afford an alnico speaker . What is your suggestion ?

So ... as I read ...

"i am looking for a new speaker . i own a VOXAC30CC1 . This amp is rated at 30watts and has one 12 inch speaker . The stock speaker is a Vox/Celestion Neodog speaker . The answer was clear as could be: Blackhawk!

Then ... "To be honest I cannot afford an alnico speaker . What is your suggestion ?"

Shoot ... ALL Vox sound better with AlNiCo!

Probably your best (Ceramic) bet will be a Reaper (30).  Other choices to consider:

ET65: this will warm the amp up a lot, and make it more balanced and not so spiky on top.

Retro 30: will retain all the chime ... while adding a fair bit more usable bottom.

Also: the ET is a medium magnet speaker, The Ret is a Heavy ... so:

ET65: a bit less volume

Retro: a bit more volume (and weight)

Hope this helps ... please post back w/your results!

what about the Invader 50 ? Will it fit to my style or will it be better for classic rock and give me a Marshall-y tone ?

Yes, cut of the GB cloth ... quite Marshallesque.
