Hi, i'm looking for a set of speakers for modern prog rock sound - think porcupine tree.
Im was love from the moment i heard the invader, and have always loved the sound of green berets so no doubt that 2 invaders are going my way very soon. The thing is im not sure which speaker to pair them with. The invader + liberator clip does sound good, but im also very interested in the reaper 55.
Anyone tried an x-pattern with these two? Or perhaps you have another combination that I absolutely must try?
Just forgot - if anyone have tried 4 invaders in a cab im very much interested in thoughts on that too.
Hey ... the Invaders have been really impressing me ... more than I expected! I'd say a fully Invader loaded 4x12 would be perfect for prog rock ... all the urgency and rawness of the GBs, but with a lot of added versatility via the more generous top and bottom. Hope this helps!
