The Retro 30 has a full midrange like the G12C with a reduced ~3kHz range for a less-piercing sound, and the tight bass is good with an ACxx style amp that does not use global negative feedback.
Well ... The very bright G12C and very warm G12C/S are on totally opposite ends of the tonal spectrum. Start with a search, as Speaker replacements for an AC30 have been covered a LOT!! :-) https://wgsusa.com/search/node/vox%20ac30
Now that the vox - warehouse limited edition, in which AC15's were sold with GC12C instead of Celestion Greenbacks has ended, and the vox AC30S1 seems to be obtaining some market traction, comes the question what does the S1 sound like with the GC12C.......
Hi How do you know that the Celestíon made for this amp are the 70/80. Mine sounds phenomenal but not quite sure if I feel the difference with one alnico one. They are quite expensive

Got to ask this question myself.
