Greetings all,

My grill fell off, and then a mike stand banged into a brand new ET-65 right at the edge of the cone. It has about a 1.5" tear, but it looks pretty clean. Can I use rubber cement or speaker repair glue to fix, or is there a better way? I've heard of cloth and diluted Elmer's glue, etc.

Thanks!

That's a pretty big injury! The only real long-term solution is to send it to WGS to be re-coned. You can try one of the options you mentioned ... and as long as you are not playing it loud, it might get you buy for a while, but if the speaker is really moving from playing loud ... those repairs are not likely to last long.
