Hi,

I just recieved my first new speaker, ever actually as I have always played used amps.I have a Marshall JTM30 that has been modden, to sound more like what I call a poor man's Bluesbreaker amp.

The person who had it before me put in a Mercury Magnetics transformer and a Celestion V30, which is a little too harsh for me, and I was already interested in the ET65, when that was the exact speaker my tech recommeded. I got it in yesterday and I do like the sound, but its still seems a bit new and harsh. I know these things break in nicely, but what time frame am I looking at here.

Thanks,

Josh

Hummm ... ET-65's never sound "harsh", not even right out of the box!  What exactly HAS been done to that amp???  (JTM 30's are pretty Harsh amps)

Break in on the ET-65 is generally only about 8-12 hrs of solid play time ... varies, of course ...
